Here is Small Mart in Stratford, Ontario. It’s a little jewel of a store at 119 Ontario Street. I always find something in here to take home. I’m like a kid in a candy store. In fact, they also sell candy, like my favorite, lemonheads. Last time I found a great bag and used it as a prop in a shoot. Just before i bought the bag I took a snap of it in its natural habitat.
“It’s about bringing in unique products from companies that are real innovators.” Carrie says “We like pieces that are design driven and will be lifetime purchases”. Much of the merchandise on the store shelves is also not available in the ubiquitous big box stores, Carrie explains, so it really is worth a drive to Stratford to come and have a look.
For this month's Hello! Neighbor which I'm getting in just under the wire we're heading back to Stratford, Ontario and visiting Jeremy and Carrie. I discovered while reading through their answers to my questionnaire that Jeremy attended the same interior design school as I did. His touch is definitely evident throughout the home - there is something decidedly masculine about the space.
